Summer guest

It would be one of my greatest pleasures to have seasonal guests. Since they come every year, I have enough knowledge how I can please them.

Summer has come again with bright sunshine. I have been waiting for them for the last a month or so with food they love.

I was wondering, however, what happened with them this year. I did not see them this year, even a sign. My wife found out that our neighbors were also concerned.

Well, one of them finally showed up today! Our long awaited guest. Although she seemed to be in a great hurry and did not stay long with us, she did eat food we served. I would imagine at least one of them will come again sooner or later, since they usually stay in our area during August.

She looked more florid than the last year, somehow. She wore glistening green/blue feather. Very fashionable indeed. To my regret, I could not have a chance to take a photo of her since she was in a big rush.





Hummingbirds are our summer guests.
